Adams Avenue To Reopen To Vehicles Sunday 29 March
Adams Avenue will reopen by 1pm Sunday, 29 March following a geotechnical assessment of Mauao on Saturday.
The avenue, between Pilot Bay and the Maunganui Road roundabout, had been closed to traffic since 5pm Thursday, 26 March as a precaution due to heavy rain.
Timing of the reopening reflects contractor availability, with crews concurrently supporting pre-planned road closures for the Marra Sprint Triathlon.
The area will continue to be monitored by experts, particularly if weather conditions change.
