Tūpuna Maunga Network To Close Due To Potential Weather Disruption
All Tūpuna Maunga will be closed from regular closing time the evening of Saturday 11 April until morning of Monday 13 April pending weather conditions. The safety of the maunga, our staff, and the public is our highest priority as there may be unseen hazards and damage due to the extreme winds that are expected.
We are asking people not to go onto any of the Tūpuna Maunga until further notice. All facilities within the park will be closed. This includes toilets, playgrounds, sports fields etc. The Tūpuna Maunga management team will be constantly checking in on the situation as it unfolds and is aligned with the official information being shared by MetService and Auckland Emergency Management.
If you have any general enquiries, please call Auckland Council on (09) 3010101 or if an emergency please call 111.
If you would like to read more information about the maunga or keep updated with this situation please go to our website: maunga.nz
