State Highway 1/Main South Road near Dunsandel has reopened after a serious crash this morning.
Road users are asked to take extra care along this route, between Burnham Road and Selwyn Lake Road.
9am – Detours in place for serious crash closure
Detours are now in place for a closure on State Highway 1/Main South Road near Dunsandel due to a serious crash this morning.
SH1/Main South Road is closed between the intersections with Burnham Road and Selwyn Lake Road.
Detours are available as follows: For southbound traffic, use SH1/Main South Road, then turn left onto Burnham Road, then right onto Bethels Road, right onto Leeston Road, right onto Selwyn Lake Road and left back onto SH1/Main South Road. The reverse applies for northbound traffic.
8am – Crash closes SH1 in Selwyn, Canterbury
State Highway 1/Main South Road is closed near Dunsandel, in the Selwyn District, after a crash this morning.

Emergency services are attending the crash at the intersection with Telegraph Road, and road users are asked to delay their journeys or use an alternative route.
