NZPFU Cancels Today's Strike Due To Flooding
The NZPFU NCOM has decided to cancel this morning's strike that was scheduled for one hour from 7.30 am today.
There has been flooding overnight in Wellington with more rain and flooding forecasted.
We recognise the mammoth efforts of Wellington District crews and the 111 emergency dispatch centre who have been hit with more than 130 calls since the early hours of this morning, with no respite for at least the next 12 hours. This was after the Hutt Valley and parts of Wellington District, including Porirua, were flooded on Saturday.
The next scheduled strike is Friday.
