UPDATE: Truck Crash Closes State Highway 6 Near Murchison
UPDATE 12:15 pm
State Highway 6 remains closed near Murchison following a truck crash this morning.
A heavy vehicle tow is being sent to the crash scene to recover and move the truck, but it will take several hours to arrive.
This means the highway remains closed until further notice and a precise time for its reopening is not available
In the meantime, drivers are asked to delay their travel or use an alternative route.
Updates on the highway’s status can be checked on the NZTA/Waka Kotahi website. Drivers should check road conditions before they travel.
