-MVDI BREACHES OF THE ACT NOT ACCEPTABLE
"False and misleading claims about reductions such as those highlighted by the Commerce Commission are unacceptable and MVDI do not condone such practices," says MVDI Executive Director, Steve Downes.
"Deliberate breaches of the Act constitute a serious breach of MVDI's Code of Ethics and dealers who intentionally engage in these practices can expect to be brought before our Disciplinary Committee which has the power to fine and award significant costs."
MVDI and the Commerce Commission have made considerable efforts to educate motor vehicle dealers about the law, and will continue educational publications and seminars this year.
