LPG - FUEL CONVERSIONS THE ANSWER IN THE LONG RUN!
"If you drive more than 20,000 kilometres per year, converting to LPG will save you money" says Motor Trade Association (MTA) CEO Stephen Matthews
Compare the cost of petrol that has risen by 30% in the last 12 months, while LPG has remained at 62 cents per litre in Wellington.
The MTA recommends to Government to reduce the excise which currently is 10.2 cents per litre on LPG, to make this fuel even more affordable to motorists. "If the Government can see the benefits of reducing excise on LPG, then there are signficant advantages in converting".
* Saves Foreign Exchange - New Zealand produces LPG, therefore avoids purchasing oil in US Dollars
* Environmentally Friendly
* Easy to Use and Available Nationwide
Mr Matthews says the New Zealand Government can give a positive signal to improve the situation by reducing excise on LPG. The Government can act quickly to help the New Zealand economy, motorists and the environment.
Don't muck around Dr Cullen, says Stephen Matthews.
