Shareholder Meeting To Proceed Next Week
AUCKLAND, 2 March 2001 – Fletcher Challenge this afternoon confirmed that following the ruling from the High Court, the Special Meeting of Shareholders of Fletcher Challenge will be held as planned on Tuesday, 6 March 2001.
The meeting, called to consider and vote on two separation transactions, will take place at the Ellerslie Convention Centre, Auckland, at 2 pm.
Michael Andrews, Chief Executive of Fletcher Challenge, commented: “We are pleased that the decision by the Court will enable shareholders to express their wishes in relation to the transactions proposed for the separation of Fletcher Challenge Limited. It is important that shareholders have the opportunity to vote on the Board-recommended Shell and Apache offer for Fletcher Challenge Energy, ” Mr Andrews said.
