Executive Director Appointed

AUCKLAND, 10 July 2001 – The acting Chairman of Fletcher Building, Mr Paul Baines, has today announced the appointment of Ralph Waters to the Board of the Company.

“We are pleased to have Mr Waters join the Board following his appointment as the new Chief Executive of Fletcher Building” said Mr Baines.

Mr Waters joined Fletcher Building as Chief Executive in June this year. He was formerly the Managing Director of Email, an Australian based diversified industrial and whiteware company.

In his role at Email, Mr Waters initiated and drove change, which led to substantial performance gains. His experience in implementing these programmes will be of great value to the Fletcher Building Board.
