Acting chief executive of Ministry of Housing
The State Services Commissioner, Michael Wintringham, announced today that David Baguley will be acting chief executive of the Ministry of Housing. Mr Baguley will take up the acting role on 17 December when the current chief executive, David Smyth, takes up his appointment as Deputy Commissioner at the State Services Commission.
Mr Baguley is currently Manager Corporate Services at the Ministry of Housing, a position he has held for 9 years.
The Ministry of Housing provides tenancy bond administration, dispute resolution services and tenancy advice for residential tenants and landlords. The Ministry also monitors the performance of Housing New Zealand Corporation.
Mr Wintringham said Mr Baguley would be acting chief executive at Ministry of Housing until a chief executive is appointed. Mr Wintringham said he hoped to announce a permanent appointment early in 2002.
