Mill workers to attend stopwork
Five hundred workers will stop work
tomorrow to talk politics in Tokoroa.
EPMU members from eight mill sites in the area will attend a two-hour stopwork meeting at which they will question Labour politicians.
Topping the bill is Labour Minister Margaret Wilson. Other politicians present will be Mark Burton, Stevie Chadwick, Louisa Wall, Tariana Turia and Mita Ririnui.
Union national secretary Andrew Little said that policies on labour relations and health and safety were of special concern to workers in the forestry industry.
The meeting will be held at the Timberlands conference centre.
