Certified Organics Sends First Shampoo Shipment To Australia
Statement made by Dr Earl Stevens,
Managing Director,
Certified Organics
Limited
Certified Organics has sent the first in a
series of shipments of certified organic shampoo to
Australia.
A initial order of four tonnes of two shampoo products has been shipped to Queensland-based organics marketer Supamin to be sold under their own branding throughout Australasia.
The shampoo, like other products that we have developed, is developed from pine extracts and is certified organic. Half of the shipment is comprised of shampoo specifically formulated for hair nit control.
The shampoos are the latest addition to our product range. Recent months have seen the launch of our home and garden range of Organic Interceptor™ weed and moss & lichen controls which are now available in hardware/DIY outlets and garden stores around New Zealand.
The development of normal and nit control shampoos which are certified organic is further evidence of our commitment to extending our product range to incorporate certified organic household cleaners and personal hygiene products alongside our growing home and garden range. Given the specialist nature of these products we are seeking to work with market players with established hair and hygiene distribution who are seeking a certified organic alternative, rather than develop the market infrastructure ourselves.
Products of this nature have excellent potential both domestically and overseas. We have already received inquiries relating to the shampoo products both here and overseas and are currently working through opportunities with other marketers and distributors in New Zealand.
We are confident that there will be a positive response to this latest product offering which is likely to be of great appeal to the home and education sectors in Australia.
