AIM Proximity extends service offering

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AIM Proximity extends service offering with acquisition of leading sales promotion specialists, Sales Success Ltd

Sales promotion emphasis at point of sale strengthens AIM Proximity’s ability to gather meaningful customer data

AUCKLAND - 31 July 2002 - AIM Proximity, New Zealand's leading direct and interactive marketing agency, has announced the acquisition of specialist sales promotion firm, Sales Success Ltd. The move allows AIM Proximity to offer specialised services across every customer touch point.

"Sales Success has an outstanding track record developing strong relationships with clients," says Robert Limb, Managing Director, AIM Proximity. Sales Success became part of the Clemenger Group (New Zealand) in 2000. The company has grown an extensive client base working with a range of companies including Pepsi, Frucor Beverages, Unilever, Mainland Cheese, Effem Foods, BNZ, Goodman Fielder, Carter Holt Harvey and Sky City.

"The link between sales promotion and customer relationships is often overlooked," explains Mr Limb. "The point of sale creates a significant opportunity for meaningful dialogue with customers. With the acquisition of critical customer information, as well as the positive service experience gained by the consumer, we can now initiate or extend future dialogue. The acquisition of Sales Success allows AIM Proximity to offer clients a more integrated marketing package, maximising customer data opportunities."

According to Sales Success director Matt Patterson, the company’s sales promotion capability will be further boosted by AIM Proximity’s inherent strengths which link promotions back to customer relationships, extending the longevity and effectiveness of campaigns.
