TIANZ Welcomes Reappointment Of Minister Of Tourism
The Acting Chief Executive of the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIANZ), Chris Gray, today welcomed the reappointment of the Hon Mark Burton as the Minister of Tourism. He also congratulated Mr Burton on his appointment as Deputy Leader of the House.
“Mr Burton has a track record of working to build strong and effective partnerships between central government and the tourism industry and his reappointment will enable this work to continue. We especially appreciate Mr Burton’s passion and support for the environmental sustainability initiatives being promoted by our industry, and his commitment to resourcing a high level of expertise within the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Research Council,” Mr Grey said.
“TIANZ looks forward to working with the Minister to further the interests of the Industry, and to meet the many challenges facing our industry as it works to balance business viability with long-term sustainability, in a growing industry,” Chris Grey said.
TIANZ also congratulates the Hon Dover Samuels who has been appointed as Associate Minister of Tourism.
