Mavis Mullins appointed Chair of Te Huarahi Tika Trust
Leading businesswoman Mavis Mullins has been appointed Chair of Te Huarahi Tika Trust, previously known as the Maori Spectrum Trust.
Mavis succeeds founding Chair, Bill Osborne, who has been appointed Chair of Te Huarahi Tika Trust’s commercial arm, Hautaki Limited.
Her iwi affiliations are Rangitane and Atihaunui a Paparangi.
Dannevirke-based, Mavis’s personal and professional interests focus strongly on the areas of economic development, particularly for Maori.
With an MBA from Massey University, she is executive director of Paewai Mullins Shearing Limited, Paewai Mullins Systems and holds the position of provincial woolhandling instructor for Woolpro.
She has extensive interests in agribusiness, particularly the wool sector.
In June this year she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to the wool industry.
