Media Entries Invited For Fanz Business Awards
Last day to get entries in for the Franchise Association of New Zealand's annual Media Award.
Journalists, writers and editors are invited to submit their stories on franchising to the judges of the FANZ Business Awards, an annual event that will be held at the Sheraton Auckland Hotel on November 2. The judges will also compile a story list of their own, comprising reporting on a range of franchising subjects.
The winner will receive a trophy recognising the journalist's efforts to present informed and accurate reporting of franchising activity.
The Media Award is aimed at encouraging greater awareness and understanding of franchising, the role it plays in the business community and its contribution to the economy as a whole. Last year's award was won by Jon Stephenson of The Independent Business Weekly.
Franchising accounts for $10.4 billion of business activity per year and the Franchise Association has identified media as a key area for education about this growing business sector.
Media are invited to submit entries to The Franchise Association of New Zealand, PO Box 23-364, Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand. Closing date for entries is 22 October 2002.
