The Belgians are Coming
Import News from the Importers Institute
28 October 2002 - The Belgians are Coming
A high-level economic mission from Belgium will visit New Zealand from 23 to 27 November. The party consists of some 40 leading Belgian companies and is headed by HRH Prince Philippe.
The Belgian economic mission aims to build on the bi-lateral trade between the two countries that exceeds NZ$1 billion and will showcase trade opportunities that exist on both sides. Belgium is already one of our major suppliers of hi-tech industrial products and New Zealand has adopted Belgium as one of its main hubs for exports to Europe.
The programme also takes in the Belgian Flower Display at the Ellerslie Flower Show, Louis Vuitton America's Cup Yachting, the opening of the Blankenberge Belgian Beer Café in Takapuna, an Auckland Rotary Club Business Luncheon and a Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Wellington.
