E-SENSUALS LINGERIE NETS STAR PLAYER

Bendon Limited has added another star player to its celebrity line-up with the launch today of Bernice Mene as the face of e-sensual lingerie. The former New Zealand Netball captain has been signed to front the brand in a new television, billboard and instore advertising campaign.

The e-sensuals campaign is built around the theme "Work, Work, Play" with television commercials following Mene going for a morning jog, giving a business presentation, shopping for lingerie and playing in a social game of netball. A voiceover from Mene says "e-sensual - it's part of my life". Mene also appears on billboards in Auckland and on instore headerboards and product swingtags.

Sue Dunmore, e-sensual lingerie general manager, says Bernice Mene is the perfect fit for the brand. "e-sensuals lingerie is a modern, stylish collection of lingerie perfect for work and play," Dunmore says. "Bernice Mene is a great role model. She represents the strong spirit of the quintessential New Zealand woman - busy, active, professional and successful. And no matter what the day brings - e-sensual lingerie will take you through it in comfort and style," Dunmore says.

Bendon Ltd has nine brands in its stable, with several already fronted by celebrities. Elle Macpherson is the face of Elle Macpherson Intimates, model Nicky Watson fronts Fayreform and Australia's Sophie Monk was earlier this year launched as the face of Expozay Swim.

e-sensuals lingerie was launched in New Zealand in March last year, with capsule ranges sold exclusively through The Warehouse. Dunmore says the signing of Bernice Mene has given Bendon the opportunity to further extend the brand, with the new advertising campaign and new lingerie styles.

Mene says she is delighted to be associated with e-sensual lingerie. "I am excited at the opportunity to represent Bendon, particularly the e-sensual ranges. Bendon really is part of women's lives in New Zealand and I am happy to be involved with such a well-respected company," Mene says.

The first e-sensuals lingerie collection, instore from today, is designed for women who are fashion savvy and want value for money. All bras are priced at $19.99 and all briefs at $9.99. The collection features a key e-sensuals range, an e-sensual summer blue range, and two fashion print ranges. The key e-sensuals range comes in skintone and black and features a moulded bra, convertible bra and a plain brief. The summer blue range has a contour bra, moulded bra, matching bikini brief and g-string, and complements the two print ranges. Passionflower has a pink flower print on yellow mesh, available in a contour bra, fuller figure bra, bikini brief and g-string. Snapdragon has a floral print on a lemon background, also in a contour bra, fuller figure bra and g-string but with a tanga bikini brief.
