Birthday Bubbles No Trouble For Freedom Air

Passengers flying with Freedom Air this Saturday are in for a bubbly treat as the value-based airline celebrates its seventh birthday.

Along with a complimentary glass of bubbly (for passengers over 18 years), passengers on each flight could win a trip for two people to any one of Freedom Air's Trans Tasman destinations. Sixteen flights for two will be given away overall, through inflight games and competitions.

Freedom Air's first flight took off from Auckland Airport in 1995 carrying passengers from Auckland to Sydney. Since then Freedom has carried more than 1.5 million passengers.

Rachel Gardiner, Freedom Air sales and marketing manager, says Freedom Air has come along way in its seven year history. "We've had an amazing seven years, and have continued to expand our services this year, with the launch of four new Trans Tasman services," she says. "We are looking forward to providing many more years of our fun, friendly and efficient service."

more Freedom Air recently launched new services from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch to Brisbane and from Christchurch to the Gold Coast. The new services mean that Freedom Air flies between New Zealand and Queensland more than any other airline - over 40 times per week!

Its new routes come on the back of its other popular services that fly from Hamilton, Palmerston North and Dunedin to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Freedom Air also flies from Auckland, Hamilton and Dunedin to the Gold Coast.
