Bankdirect Appoints New Agency

BankDirect has appointed Big Communications to handle the bank’s brand, above-the-line and direct marketing business.

The Big Communications management team has a long history with the BankDirect brand, with both Ant Salmon (Managing Director) and Joe Holden (Creative Director) having worked on the business prior to setting up Big Communications earlier this year.

BankDirect head, Kevin Leith, says:

“Certainly, the fact that we already had an excellent working relationship was a component of our decision-making. Ultimately though, we were after an Agency that was capable of handling both brand and below-the-line direct marketing communications and Big has demonstrated this more than convincingly.

“BankDirect and Big Communications share similar philosophies and approaches to our work. Both take a fresh, dynamic look at opportunities and are willing to challenge the status quo. This synergy is essential in delivering smart, memorable and effective campaigns, and we’re looking forward to working with them.”

BankDirect is yet to name its new Media Agency, but expects to make an announcement in mid-May.
