Electricity Demand Update
Total electricity demand for the 24 hours ended midnight yesterday (Tuesday April 29) was 99.94 GWh, down from the 103.3 GWh used on average at the same time last year.
Conservation efforts by householders and small to medium businesses accounted for savings of around 3%. Demand was further reduced because of lower consumption by some large industrial users, in particular Comalco which has reduced consumption by 10%.
Daily demand information will be updated at 12 pm each day at www.winterpower.org.nz
