New North Shore business wins prestigious national award

North Shore-based screenprinting company Terrabyte Screenprint has been placed first for Textile Screenprinting in the prestigious New Zealand Pride in Print Awards.

Terrabyte Screenprint, owned by Nicky Lowe and Mark Thodey, was the only company in New Zealand selected for an award in the textile screen printing category of the Awards. The achievement has placed the company in an elite group of New Zealand print companies, say the New Zealand Pride in Print Awards organisers.

The acknowledgement is particularly noteworthy because Terrabyte is a relatively new company. It opened early last year printing multicolour images onto apparel and promotional items.

Terrabyte has developed and introduced a specialised four-colour process which creates a high quality level of photo reproduction on fabrics.

Directors Nicky Lowe and Mark Thodey, who have both been in the printing industry for about 20 years, say the New Zealand Pride in Print win is an exciting achievement for the company and further boosts its credibility.

"It's great to be recognised for excellence by others in the same field. After researching and developing the process, we knew we were onto a winner. The award is a great recognition of our determination to produce quality multicolour fabric screen printing," says Ms Lowe.

The company, which is situated on Constellation Drive, also offers a complete in-house service including design/concept, artwork and production and digital printing.

Excellent photographs are available on request.
