Having trouble with your rent payments?
Having trouble with your rent payments?
We may be able to help you…
- Sometimes things happen that make it hard
to pay all of your rent on time. Work and Income has a range
of options that could help you with your rent payments.
- We may be able to give you extra help such as an Accommodation Supplement or an advance to assist you with your rent or any unpaid rent. You may be eligible for help even if you are not getting a benefit.
- If you are getting a benefit, we may be able to pay part of your benefit directly to your landlord, if there’s a really good reason for doing so.
- If we can help, we will provide you with a letter to take to your meeting with the mediator or adjudicator.
Call Work and Income now on 0800 559 009 to make an appointment. We’re here Monday to Friday 7am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm.
If you have any questions about the Tenancy Tribunal application, give Tenancy Services a call on 0800 TENANCY (0800 83 62 62).
