Shell first to reduce fuel price

Shell New Zealand today announced a reduction in the price of petrol and diesel, effective immediately. Pump prices will fall by 2 cents per litre at most Shell service stations throughout the country.

“Shell is delighted to be able to pass on immediate savings to our customers, from an easing in international oil prices,” Shell Retail Manager Mark Nobilo said.

“It is particularly pleasing to once again be the first to move prices down, continuing Shell’s commitment to bringing New Zealanders the best possible fuel prices.

“Shell is constantly monitoring the sometimes volatile mix of product price and currency fluctuations which determine the price of fuel in New Zealand, and we are committed to ensuring that New Zealanders are paying a fair price for their fuel,” Mr Nobilo said.

The price of 91 grade petrol will fall to $1.03.9 per litre, the price of 96 grade petrol fall to $1.08.9 per litre and diesel will now cost 57.9 cents per litre at most Shell service stations. Shell will reduce the price at which it sells to its independent customers at midnight tonight (Monday).
