Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Withdraws from Holmes Show
Sponsorship
Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ltd (MMNZ) announced today that it was withdrawing from its sponsorship of the TVNZ Holmes show.
John Leighton, managing director of MMNZ said today; “The Board and management find the views recently expressed by Paul Holmes regarding United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, and women journalists to be completely unacceptable and incompatible with the ethos of our company.
This is a decision of principle and we have
informed Television New Zealand of our desire to no longer
be associated with the Holmes programme.”
