Chubb Co-Operating With Paedophile Investigation

Chubb NZ Ltd had an agreement with the Department of Corrections whereby it provided specific security services to a high-risk offender when the main contractor was unavailable. When rostered, the role of the Chubb supervisors was to ensure that the offender was where he was supposed to be and that he did not breach any of his special conditions.

Chubb is fully co-operating with the investigation currently being carried out by the Department, and looks forward to the release of its report. We believe the report will confirm that our staff acted in a professional manner consistent with our contract with the Department of Corrections. We cannot comment further about specific incidents or events until the report is released.

Our approach and involvement in this process has always been one of supporting and assisting our client, the Department of Corrections, with the legal process of minimising the risk of this parolee to the community.
