The Fayreform Lingerie Sense and Sensuality Garden, featuring live model shows, is one of the hot picks for the Ellerslie Flower Show, which opens in South Auckland today.

Awarded a Silver Medal during judging yesterday, the Fayreform Lingerie Garden gives a contemporary twist to classic garden design. It blends structured architectural shapes with pretty flower planting. It is designed to bring to life Fayreform's "sense" of strong, structured shapes, and the "sensuality" of indulgent and beautiful designs.

The Fayreform Lingerie Garden was designed by one of New Zealand's most renowned garden designers, Karen Lowther. The garden features classic cottage garden favourites such as roses, peonies, penstimon and wallflowers in colours which reflect the Fayreform summer lingerie collection. The flowers are thrown into sharp relief by structured elements. A colonnade, pleached trees, fine gravel grounds and a stunning ornamental pond water feature add strength to the floral softness.

Lowther says the Silver Medal win is a significant achievement. The gardens are judged according to the same international criteria used at the Chelsea Flower Show, and that criteria is tough. "I'm thrilled with the Silver Medal," Lowther says. "The Fayreform Garden was a real challenge in terms of combining a contemporary look with classical planting, and I'm delighted with the result."

Anna Burrett, Fayreform Brand Manager, says the Fayreform Lingerie Sense and Sensuality Garden is stunningly feminine. "The garden is just gorgeous - a stunning floral scape balanced with strong structural elements," Burrett says. "The design perfectly reflects the Fayreform philosophy of bringing fashion and femininity to structured, supportive lingerie," Burrett says.

The Sense & Sensuality Garden is a first for the Ellerslie Flower Show - the first lingerie brand to ever join the show and a major player in this year's "surprising" Ellerslie Flower Show theme. Live model shows are scheduled in the garden several times a day during the show - featuring the latest Fayreform Lingerie collections.

The Fayreform Summer 03 collections are the inspiration behind the Sense & Sensuality Garden. This season, Fayreform has a renewed fashion focus as the indulgent, everyday structured brand of choice - while retaining the design excellence, quality, comfort and fit that the brand is known for. The Fayreform Summer 03 collections include a range of new designs - with fine laces, sheer meshes and intricate embroideries featuring in glamorous new bras, lower brief profiles, more g-strings and new boyshort briefs. Colours are romantic- soft vintage hues, muted pink and antique blues, including silver mist, shell pink, heather, blush, chocolate, mocha, almond and latte.
