Pacific Aerospace Busy Servicing New Orders

Pacific Aerospace Busy Servicing New Orders For PAC 750XL

A New Zealand skydiving company which has been leasing Pacific Aerospace Corporation's prototype PAC 750XL utility aircraft, confirmed this week it is purchasing a new PAC 750XL.

Taupo Tandem Skydive will take delivery of the new aircraft in the very near future. This follows the announcement that Utility Aircraft Corporation, of California, has placed a second order for one of the planes after losing its first PAC 750XL on its delivery flight from New Zealand recently.

CEO of Taupo Tandem Dive, John Funnell, says he can't wait to take delivery of the new aircraft.

"We have been operating Pacific Aerospace's standard Cresco aircraft for the past 12 months and, more recently the 750XL prototype and have been very impressed by their efficiency and reduced running costs," says Funnell.

The tandem dive centre boss says the new PAC 750XL is arriving at a most opportune time.

"This is our busy season and we are rushed off our feet at present. Over the summer months we employ 50 people to cope with the demand for tandem skydiving."

The confirmed orders for the PAC 750XL have reinforced Pacific Aerospace Corporation's unswerving belief in the aircraft.

PAC's managing director Brian Hare says the feedback he has received shows customers, prospective customers and aviation commentators do not link last month's tragic incident with the quality or safety of the PAC 750XL.

"Overall, the company is in good heart and the market development programme for the PAC 750XL is proceeding to plan," says Hare. "We have a full production programme in place for the next twelve months."

PAC's general manager, John McWilliam, confirms the company continues to receive strong enquiries for all of its aircraft models including the PAC 750XL.

"We have received an order from the Royal Thai Air force for a further eight CT4 E Airtrainers and plan to deliver the first of these in April," says McWilliam.

"The Royal Thai Air Force is already using more than 50 of our Airtrainers which makes it one of our bigger customers."
