Guide to Business Assistance Now Available
The 2004 edition of Northland’s directory of free or low-cost assistance available for small to medium-sized businesses is now available.
The directory, which is in its second year, is designed to help business owners find professional advice on how to start, develop or expand their businesses.
The print run has tripled to 3000 this year, said John Halse of Enterprise Northland, which produces the directory with support from NZ Trade & Enterprise.
“The directory is a single point of reference to the government-sponsored business programmes that are delivered by local Northland organisations, and are available either free or at a minimal cost,” said Mr Halse.
“The latest figures from Statistics NZ show that Northland has more than 8000 small to medium businesses. It is important that they get all the assistance they need, as they underpin the future growth and prosperity of the region.”
The directory is distributed through
economic development agencies, district councils and other
organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureaux, and can be
obtained free from Enterprise Northland, phone 09-438
5110.
