Growth claims not supported

Growth claims not supported
There appears to be no business support for the Government's claim that the Employment Relations Law Reform Bill will help achieve increased growth, says Business NZ.
The Minister of Labour was asked in Parliament today what reports he had received supporting the claim, but was unable to identify any beyond reports by the CTU and one journalist.
This is consistent with the Minister of Small Business recently admitting to Parliament that he had received no support from small business for the Bill.
"Neither Minister appears able to show any business support for this Bill," said Business NZ Chief executive Simon Carlaw. "The Bill should not proceed."
