New Chief Executive for Business New Zealand
A search is under way for a new Chief Executive for Business New Zealand. Simon Carlaw's term will finish on 30 September. He was given the task in 2000 of bringing together the former New Zealand Manufacturers'Federation and the New Zealand Employers' Federation to create a new business organisation, Business New Zealand.
"Business New Zealand is now the leading national organisation representing the interests of New Zealand's business, manufacturing and employer sectors to the Government and the wider community. Simon has made a significant contribution to this achievement," said Terry Arnold, Business New Zealand's President.
Simon Carlaw said that he would be leaving the organisation in the knowledge that Business New Zealand had achieved a level of credibility and effectiveness that provided an excellent platform to build on for the future.
