Strategy Advertising & Design Awarded Prestigious Clio

Strategy Advertising & Design today announced it has won a bronze Clio Award for its Christchurch Art Gallery poster campaign and design.

The Clio was presented during the 45th Annual Clio Festival at Miami Beach last week.

“Receiving the Clio caps off a year of international recognition and awards for our Christchurch Art Gallery brand identity and development,” said Strategy Creative Director Guy Pask.

“We are proud that our creative energy and abilities have been recognised and rewarded by the Clio Design Jury.”

The Clio awards are regarded internationally as the largest and most prestigious advertising and design awards, this year there were approximately 13,000 entries from 62 countries.

Strategy was also a finalist in the poster design category for the Christchurch Art Gallery’s Japonism in Fashion exhibition.

Although other New Zealand advertising agencies have won Clio’s in other categories for their work, Strategy is one of the first New Zealand agencies to win a Clio in the Design category.

This year, Strategy has received numerous local and international awards for its Christchurch Art Gallery brand identity and design. They include Best of Category for Large Scale Identity and Graphic Design Arts at the New Zealand BeST Awards; a Silver Pencil for Large Scale Identity at the Australasian Writers & Art Directors AWARD; and a Highly Commended for Promotional Design from the Museums of Australia Design Awards.

“I am proud that our hard working and talented team at Strategy has been internationally recognised for its creative output and we all look forward to maintaining this high standard of work in the future,” said Mr Pask.
