Income package is welcome, say workers
Working families are welcoming news that many of them are to get financial help.
Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union national secretary Andrew Little said that many working families were struggling to make ends meet, and were pleased that today’s Budget contained real help for them.
“Like everyone, we are working through the details to see just how significant that help is, but we acknowledge that the Working for Families policy announced today is a major development in terms of income policy which will really help low-income families,” he said.
