Babybuds - A Blooming Marvellous Gift Concept

For those who are looking to buy the latest in baby presents for a new Mum, babybuds - a bouquet of baby clothes, presented to look like a bunch of flowers - has recently launched in New Zealand.

Available for ordering online, babybuds has been an international success and as the original concept, the bouquets are expected to mirror their global popularity in New Zealand.

Jeni Crichton, owner of babybuds New Zealand, says the original bouquets consist of baby singlets, socks, body suits and wonder suits styled to resemble rose buds, and are a unique two-in-one gift.

"I've seen many friends and colleagues fare welled to motherhood with predictable company gifts consisting of flowers, baby clothes, flowers, and well, more baby clothes! babybuds is a combined gift that benefits both mother and baby, and provides the 'wow' factor that ordinary flower and baby gifts don't have.

"Practicality is also important for a new mother. New Mums who receive a babybuds in the maternity hospital no longer have to contend with dying flowers when they leave to go home, and when they arrive home they can use the bouquet to dress their newborn baby," says the mother of two.

A qualified Plunket nurse, Jeni has first hand experience in knowing what's important to a busy Mum and says each item of clothing has been chosen for its easy care factor.

For ex-pat Kiwis and others living abroad, gifts for the new Mum and baby can now be conveniently ordered offshore and delivered to any address in New Zealand. Similarly, New Zealanders can arrange a delivery to any address in Australia through the Australian link on the babybuds' New Zealand website.

Prices start from $35 plus delivery for a bouquet, and from $8, there is also a range of locally hand made chocolates available. All gifts are delivered by next day couriers or for babybuds going to the South Island, allow two working days.
