Infrastructure Giants Make Movies

Excell Corporation, Works Infrastructure and Fulton Hogan got together recently to make an educational film focussing on the safe use of ride-on mowers and weedeaters near main roads.

The three large infrastructure maintenance companies are committed to effective health and safety training, so decided to pool resources to make the film, which is intended to have a wide public benefit.

“This film is designed to concentrate on procedures that establish a safe and healthy working environment for our own teams, as well as ensuring that member’s of the public are kept safe at all times,” said Mr Paul Anderson, Health and Safety Manager for Excell Corporation.

The light-hearted film will be used to supplement safety induction training for mower and weedeater operators, and highlights the correct use of safety gear, maintenance of equipment, and how to ensure public safety at all times.

“Although the film is amusing, it does not undermine the seriousness of proper use of equipment and how to prevent accidents,” said Mr Anderson.

Filming took place at Pakuranga’s Lloyd Elsmore Park under Screentime Communicado’s direction.
