Two countries moving towards One Market
Who’s who of Business in Wellington will hear the Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Dr Allan Hawke, speak about the future of Australia and New Zealand as they move towards one market, at a special CPA Australia New Zealand Branch Business Function.
Dr Hawke’s speech will highlight to the ninety business leaders attending the CPA Australia function, the Australian and New Zealand Governments’ intention to take the trans-Tasman relationship to higher levels by pursuing a single economic market.
Since the signing of the Australia-New Zealand Closer Economic Relations trade agreement in 1983, both countries have enjoyed increased trade and investment. In the past decade, trans-Tasman bilateral trade has grown seven per cent per annum.
