Subject: Meat & Wool New Zealand focus on Goat farmers Date: 22 July 2004
Throughout July, Meat & Wool New Zealand directors have been consulting with farmers on proposals for levy investment.
As part of this consultation, Meat & Wool New Zealand will be hosting an industry forum in Rotorua next month to consult with goat farmers and those involved in the wider goat industry.
The forum will concentrate on what opportunities exist for investment of the goat levy.
There will also be a number of presentations during the day, focusing on everything from the different issues facing goat farmers such as dealing with the changing environment and the profitability of goats in a pastoral system through to what marketing opportunities exist for the industry.
The forum will be held on the 12 August at the Millennium Hotel in Rotorua.
