Singleton Ogilvy & Mather Wins Teach NZ Account
Singleton Ogilvy & Mather (SO&M) has won the Teach-NZ account following a competitive tender process, which involved seven agencies.
Teach-NZ national manager, Irene Lynch, said the agency had won the business based on its strategic and creative thinking, and the depth of understanding of the business demonstrated in their proposal after 7 years of working on the account.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Singleton, Ogilvy & Mather again as we face the challenges of ensuring an adequate supply of early childhood and secondary teachers in the future," said Lynch.
A Ministry of Education internal selection panel consisting of representatives with significant involvement in the various aspects of teacher supply oversaw the tender process, which began on 21 May 2004.
SO&M managing director, John Wilde is delighted with the reappointment and credits the win to the agency's significant experience in the education sector and its successful track record with previous Teach-NZ campaigns.
The three-year contract is worth $1.72 million each year ($5.16 million over the three year period).
