Robyn Mathieson gets sentimental poolside
Wellington fashion designer Robyn Mathieson takes her new Spring/Summer 2004/2005 range to the pool next week, as one of the labels showing in the “Walk on Water” fashion show.
The fashion show is to be held at Thorndon Pool, in Wellington on 9 September 2004.
The new range from Robyn Mathieson is titled “Unbound” and is a sentimental journey of classic polka dot dresses, swinging skirts, period influenced cardigans and belted trousers.
Inspiration for the range was drawn from the women of the 1940’s and 1950’s, and the freedoms women have won since then.
Fabrics come in lipstick reds, powdery blues and summery pin-stripes of lime, lemon and pink, complemented with a formal edge of navy and black.
Beginning with one small retail store, the Robyn Mathieson label began in 1991.
The Robyn Mathieson brand is sold exclusively through the two Robyn Mathieson stores, in Wellington and Auckland
A mother of
two, Robyn Mathieson lives in Wellington and attended the
former Wellington Polytechnic fashion design school in the
1980’s.
