In the case of Auckland Mayor, John Banks, organisers of this year’s Auckland Home Show chose a shiny new 1.5 tonne Kubota digger.
And after a quick instruction from Hirepool Business Relationship Manager Kingi Pikaahu, Mayor Banks drove the digger with all the aplomb of a site foreman through the banner strung across the front of the Auckland Showgrounds today to officially open the Home Show.
And then he was off – in something more fitting his style…
