Trans-Tasman Alliance Leads To Win Of Major Financial Services Study

Market information company TNS New Zealand is pleased to announce that, together with TNS Australia, it has secured a major contract with 5 of New Zealand’s leading financial services companies – Westpac, BNZ, ANZ, The National Bank and ASB Bank. The TNS Business and Rural Finance Monitor (BFM) is a syndicated market study that will provide these banks with the tools to better meet NZ businesses needs.

It will provide a clear understanding of their position in the business and agribusiness1 finance markets and timely identification of market trends, opportunities and threats that could affect their position. It will also identify the key factors driving commitment, using the Conversion Model™ and an understanding of how these factors can be managed. It has the ability to predict likely market and customer behaviour based on the degree of commitment business customers have with their bank.

“The BFM will assist these financial services companies with decisions related to their customer relationships and their product and service offering. It will also help them to understand how to maintain and grow relationships with valuable customers” explained Murray Campbell, Managing Director of TNS New Zealand.

TNS Australia has conducted a similar syndicated survey in Australia with Westpac, Commonwealth Bank and National Australia Bank for the last 3 years. TNS Australia has conducted more than 30,000 interviews in this period and the experience and knowledge they have gained during this time will be invaluable to the success of the BFM in the New Zealand business market. The survey began in April, with initial results expected in September.
