New Zealand’s Leading Marine and Power Product Supplier Unveils New Structure

Power & Marine Ltd today unveil a change in name and operations. The group will be an umbrella for three stand-alone business divisions – Blue Pacific Yanmar, headed by Brian Macken, Honda Marine, headed by Martin Wylie, and Power Products, headed by Ian Biddick. Bruce Stevenson remains the CEO of Power & Marine Ltd.

“The move coincides with the revamp of Power & Marine’s Westhaven showroom and the addition of several new staff members to the technical department, a move which will ensure an increase in service levels,” says Brian Macken, Blue Pacific Yanmar Divisional Manager. Sales, service support and administration are now all located on the showroom floor.

Yanmar Diesel Engine Company is without doubt the premiere manufacturer of diesel engines and associated diesel powered power products in the world, with an annual turnover of NZ$2.3 billion. Blue Pacific Yanmar will continue to represent Yanmar as well as other key chandlery products such as Johnson pumps, Maxpower, Ronstan, Silva and Spinlock. Yanmar is the major supplier of diesel engines in New Zealand, currently taking up the number one position in the pleasure marine sector.

“Blue Pacific Yanmar’s name was chosen for the environmentally friendly, clean image associated with the blue of the ocean, and the close proximity of the marketplace to the Pacific Ocean. These elements represent the local flavour and clean lines of the division,” says Mr Macken.
