Bea Forms Milestone Partnership In New Zealand

BEA Systems, a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, today announced a new local partnership with Certus.

Adam Young, Sales Manager – New Zealand, BEA Systems says “For BEA, establishing a partnership with Certus signals a large step in the right direction in the New Zealand marketplace. As a dedicated Java development organisation, Certus offers BEA customers another source from which to get expertise and assistance in implementing BEA based solutions.

The relationship with Certus is further evidence of a positive shift in the vendor market towards BEA in Australia and New Zealand. Certus is entering a partnership with BEA because of a confidence in our integrated framework for delivering low cost of ownership and faster time-to-market,” Young continues.

In New Zealand, BEA has a number of partners who are focused on BEA products and offer a full complement of services; some of which are New Zealand’s largest system integrators. BEA began training with Certus this month and the active partnership will be in effect from the end of October.

Laurence Cole, managing director for BEA Australia and New Zealand says, “BEA understands the IT complexities and business requirements facing enterprises today and we recognise the value of having partners such as Certus to jointly deliver solutions that create sustainable business value for customers. A significant benefit BEA we offers to customers is the number of partners available to assist them with integrating and building applications on BEA WebLogic© platform.

“BEA is making significant progress in the government and corporate markets and is experiencing rapid growth locally. From our point of view Certus will help us open up new opportunities in these markets,” he concludes.

Greg Woolley, Certus managing director says, “The new partnership with BEA is a major milestone for Certus. Previously we specialised entirely in IBM products and services, and while this relationship will continue, we must address the continued growth we are experiencing, especially in relation to our Business Integration capability in South East Asia. We see the new business relationship with BEA as the solution needed to broaden our business offering. BEA’s expertise in, and focus on, business integration in particular makes it an ideal partner for Certus.”

Worldwide, BEA partners with over 1,600 industry leading software, services, and platform solution providers, distributors and valued added resellers. BEA provides sales and technical support to partners to enable them to engage at a solution level with key customers.
