New Editor For Your Home & Garden Magazine
ACP Media Ltd, New Zealand’s leading magazine publisher, today announced the appointment of Brenda Ward as editor of Your Home & Garden magazine.
This is a new appointment, resulting from the company’s continued investment in Your Home & Garden – a highly successful monthly title, which provides ideas, inspiration and hands-on advice to home owners. Claire McCall, who has edited both ACP Media Home Titles – Your Home & Garden and New Zealand Home & Entertaining – for almost five years, will remain with the company and concentrate her efforts as editor of New Zealand Home & Entertaining.
Brenda brings a wealth of experience to the magazine, with a work history spanning both newspapers and magazines in New Zealand and England. She has been assistant editor of The Sunday Star-Times’ weekend supplement, Sunday, since its launch in June, and before that was on the team that launched The New Zealand Herald’s weekend supplement, Canvas. She was the editor of New Idea for two years and has also worked on Next, Grace and as an editor for Trends. Brenda will start her new role in late November.
Commenting on the appointment, ACP Media Group Publisher – Consumer Titles, Debra Millar, said the company was committed to enhancing the market performance of its magazines by ensuring they were positioned to capitalise on new opportunities.
“We have some exciting plans for Your Home & Garden – and Brenda’s experience and vision will help the team bring those to fruition in the months ahead.”
Your Home and Garden’s circulation is 47,179 (ABC, Jan-Jun 2004). The magazine’s readership is 291,000 (Nielsen Readership Survey, Jul 03-Jun 04).
