Skycity: Incorrect Statement Issued By Lobby Group
Skycity Responds To Incorrect Statement Issued By Lobby Group
SKYCITY has called a press release issued today by an anti-gambling lobby group “misleading”. SKYCITY’s Manager Media Relations, Delwyn Lewer, said the statement, issued by GamblingWatch, is speculative and factually incorrect.
“The statement issued today is incorrect and misleading. SKYCITY’s submission refers to a procedural matter with respect to the development of the regulations. It is simply another step in the consultation process that the department has been engaged in with interested parties for well over a year,” said Ms Lewer.
“We share the
objectives of GamblingWatch and the Government with regard
to the reduction of harm associated with gambling. SKYCITY
has always taken a responsible approach to problem gambling
management and is keen to ensure consultation between
Government and the industry continues,” said Ms
Lewer.
