Student Job Search Announces The Canterbury Top 10 Business Employer Awards
Student Job Search Aotearoa (SJS) is currently in the process of inviting employers to participate in the Student Job Search Top 10 Business Employer Awards. The Awards are being held in mid April to celebrate and recognise the support and opportunities that employers have given tertiary students in the Canterbury region.
Thirty finalists, from 10 different Industries, will be invited to attend the awards night being held at The Christchurch City Council Mayoral Lounge, where the Top 10 Business Employers will be announced along with the Supreme Employer Award.
“Employers are being rated on a number of criteria ranging from rate of pay, work place environment, student feedback, length of time using SJS and even training provided,” states Regional Manager, Lupe Leota.
Nationally Student Job Search Aotearoa Inc. placed 33,000 students over the summer period, exceeding all targets. The Canterbury region has been the most successful office for the past 5 years and Business Development Manager Michelle Smith explains, “It’s time to thank the exceptional employers and give them the recognition they deserve for giving students the opportunity to ease financial burdens and gain work experience”.
