Keeping It Real At Queenstown Casino
Keeping it Real, a hilarious comedy show by Gary McCormick and Tim Shadbolt, will be held at
SKYCITY Queenstown Casino’s Wild Thyme Bar and Restaurant on Sunday 27 March.
The duo, who are two of New Zealand’s best loved entertainers, will present the Keeping it Real comedy show to a Queenstown audience, celebrating how great it is to live in New Zealand. This is the first time Gary McCormick and Tim Shadbolt will perform a comedy act in Queenstown together.
Gary and Tim have known each other for about 30 years. Their extensive knowledge about New Zealand, from politics to the heartland, and their popular comic storytelling has inspired them to travel the country in road show style, to entertain New Zealand audiences, from big cities to country towns.
Gary says the comedy is inspired by some great straight talking. “Tim and I know a great deal about this country and we’ve just naturally gravitated together. People who come to the comedy show can expect to become a part of the lively act. The audience will be encouraged to participate in the performance which always creates a great laugh,” says Gary.
Over the years, Mr McCormick and Mr Shadbolt have performed between 40-50 shows together throughout the country. The show to be held at SKYCITY Queenstown will be the twentieth ‘Keeping It Real’ comedy show to date - the first began in January this year.
The comedy show starts at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased from SKYCITY Queenstown Casino for $20.00 per person. SKYCITY’s age restriction of 20 years also applies to the show.
SKYCITY Queenstown General Manager Operations Paul Wilson says, “We’re really looking forward to holding Queenstown’s Keeping it Real comedy show. We’re delighted, as the host venue, to bring two of New Zealand’s most outstanding entertainers to the region. We’re excited that both locals and visitors to Queenstown will be able to combine attending Gary and Tim’s fantastic show with a fun night out at SKYCITY.”
SKYCITY Queenstown Casino offers a unique boutique gaming and entertainment venue. It is open from noon until 4.00am daily.
