New Zealand Lotteries Commission Selects Preferred Bidder for Replacement Network
The New Zealand Lotteries Commission (NZ Lotteries) has selected a preferred bidder to upgrade the wide area network linking all NZ Lotteries' retail outlets, Chief Executive Trevor Hall announced today.
"We are upgrading to an Internet Protocol (IP) network and have selected Telecom New Zealand from the field of bidders," Mr Hall said.
"Our current data links need to be upgraded because the current DDS network technology we use to access our retail locations won't be supported after July 2006."
With the selection of Telecom as preferred bidder, NZ Lotteries will now enter into contract negotiations and determine the final specifications of the new network.
