Businesses hold potential for much higher profits
Businesses beware - consumers are about to become very well read about your brand and in doing so will be in control either by boycotting your brand or throwing profit at you.
Social responsibility for a long time has been a bit of an 'in-house' policy; consumers haven't really been given much of a look in. It hasn't been 100% directed at them. A new range of tools put together by Niche Forecasting is bringing a new direction and innovation to social responsibility.
Social responsibility initiatives of the past has been a donation here and there but this is no longer enough. These tools emphasise that SR now has to be innovative and brand reinforcing not to mention memorable to the consumer. SR needs to be number one - it's the new measurement of business.
The purpose of the tools is to bring SR into our everyday lives and become world leaders in it. New Zealand already has the best entrepreneurial rates in the world, so along with out clean green image SR will sit very nicely in our trophy cabinet and do wonders for our business image.
The range includes a tool for small businesses to learn about how social responsibility relates to them (not just the corporate sector). A tool for school children to learn this vital business policy for their own future and a tool for consumers that keeps them fully informed about good, bad and non existent SR. All of the tools will be ready for launch in the next few months. The full details of each tool has not been made public yet but should meet instant popularity among all age groups.
The consumer benefits by claiming their 'consumer power' which has been left dormant till now. The businesses have potential to see their profit grow considerably if they direct their SR right they will become shopping favourites. The bottom line for the businesses is they need to lead in this niche.
Any parties interested in how they can
participate in the launch of these tools should make contact
