Recall New Zealand

NEWS RELEASE

Auckland. Wednesday 13 July 2005 – Leading international information services company, Recall will officially open its new Auckland “Mega Information Centre” later this month. Located in Auckland’s’ industrial zone at Penrose, the facility is 23 metres high and towers on a landscape of factory sized buildings.

Asia Pacific President, Tim Whiteside says that the new Auckland facility reflects Recalls commitment to growth in the New Zealand market as well as demonstrating the increasing need for the range of services that Recall provides. Whiteside says that the new facility “raises the bar in New Zealand and sets a new benchmark for information services such as document storage, retrieval and destruction”.

Now more than ever, Recall is experiencing increased demand for services. Whiteside suggests that this has been spiked by the increasing incidents and awareness of “identity theft”, consumer fraud and more protective legislation in trading markets such as Australia and the United States. This combined with the increasing cost of corporate space and storage means that more companies are seeing the outsourcing of non-core activities as a secure and viable option.

The Auckland facility has the storage capacity for nearly two million carton units and positions Recall for a decade of growth in the New Zealand region. The facility that was 18 months in the planning also houses the latest racking and proprietary manned crane installation that is a first not only for New Zealand but also for Australasia.
